Pasta with melted tomatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g tomatoes (cocktail or vine tomatoes)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Tomato paste
  • olive oil
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 200 g pasta

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and finely dice the onions and garlic. Wash and halve the tomatoes. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. While the pasta is cooking, briefly sauté the diced onions in a pan with hot olive oil until translucent. Add the diced garlic and tomatoes to the pan and simmer until the tomatoes break down. Add tomato paste to taste. Season with salt and pepper. When the pasta is al dente, drain and add to the pan. Stir through and briefly bring to a boil in the sauce. Finally, arrange on plates with fresh herbs (e.g. basil) and serve.
