Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ onion(s)
  • 1 bulb(s) of fennel
  • olive oil
  • 400 g Bratwurst, fine, fresh
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • 200 g cream
  • 1 bag of spice mix (Knorr Salad Dressing “7 Herbs”, alternatively “Garden Herbs”)
  • 80 g baby spinach
  • 300 g fettuccine
  • Parmesan, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Noble and affordable

Dice the onion and fennel. Sauté in a large pan with a little olive oil until translucent. Then remove the sausage from the casing and add the sausage meat. Fry until crumbly, like minced meat. Add salt and pepper to taste. When the sausage meat is cooked through, add the cream and then the salad dressing. Sauté over medium heat, stir in the baby spinach and let it simmer until the spinach leaves have wilted, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta but do not rinse it. Serve together. Add Parmesan cheese to taste. Notes: Fresh, fine bratwurst is best. But you can also use fresh, coarse bratwurst and, of course, salsiccia, or even minced meat if necessary. You can also vary the vegetables according to your taste and use broccoli or something similar. If you buy the ingredients fresh, the dish for 4 people costs between €8 and €9 (May 2020).
