Ingredients for 15 servings:
- 800 g potatoes
- 100 g onion(s)
- 150 g chickpeas, ground (optional)
- 10 peppercorns, ground
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- 250 g sauerkraut, without juice
- Salt, approx. 2-3 tsp
- Oil, for frying
- possibly soy sauce (tamari)

Peel and finely grate the potatoes, finely chop the onions. Mix all ingredients, including the salt, thoroughly. If the mixture is still too runny, add the chickpeas. This depends on the potatoes, whether they are new or old. Heat the oil, form small balls with wet hands, place them in the pan, flatten with a spatula, and fry on both sides. P.S. If it’s too plain, tamari is particularly good for seasoning. My own recipe.
