Pea and mashed potatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes, floury
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 80 g peas, frozen
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 ml cream
  • 30 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel and wash the potatoes. Cover and cook in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes. After 10 minutes of cooking, add the frozen peas and cook, covered, for about 10 minutes. Drain the potatoes and peas in a sieve and then press them through a potato ricer. Combine the milk, cream, and butter in a saucepan and heat. Stir in the mashed potatoes. Add a little more cream or milk if desired. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
