Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g pork, cured
- 250 g peas, yellow, dried
- 1 onion(s)
- 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
- ½ tsp salt and pepper
- 2 liters of broth, beef or vegetables
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 25 minutes
Soak the peas in cold water overnight. Chop the onion and add it to the peas along with the meat, pepper, and parsley. If the salted meat is too salty, boil it separately in water for five minutes and then add it to the soup. Simmer for 2 to 3 hours and season again with salt and pepper before serving.
