Peanut sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 ml water
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter, creamy
  • 2 tbsp ketap manis
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek
  • ½ tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp sugar, brown or white
  • 1 tbsp sauce thickener, dark
  • Pepper, white
  • Soy sauce, light to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with meat and/or vegetables

After the meat and vegetables have been seared to your liking, deglaze with water. Then simply add the peanut butter (a generous tablespoon is fine), the sweet, slightly thick soy sauce, sambal oelek, garlic, sugar, and thickener (if desired) with a whisk. Bring everything back to a boil until it bubbles gently, then season with the light soy sauce and white pepper. It’s really super simple to make; the only tricky part of the recipe is actually the combination of ingredients. By the way, I strongly advise against adding coconut milk. That will only make the sauce taste blander.
