quick and easy

First, finely dice the dried pears and let them sit for a while with 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Then add the remaining ingredients one at a time, including the pears. Mix everything thoroughly with a wooden spoon (you don’t need a mixer). Pour into a 30 x 11 cm loaf pan, greased and floured, and bake at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about one hour. Cover with aluminum foil after baking if the cake is getting too brown on top.
