Pear cake with chocolate icing

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla with flour to 100 g
  • 1 can/n bulb(s)
  • 600 ml pear juice from the can (top up with water if necessary)
  • 2 packs of cake glaze, clear
  • 2 bars of chocolate (1 milk, 1 dark)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Beat the egg whites until stiff, then add the sugar and beat until stiff. Fold in the egg yolks and then the sifted flour. Pour the sponge mixture into a baking dish, smooth it out, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes. Allow the base to cool in the dish. Chop the pears and spread them on the base. Make a glaze from the pear juice, break the chocolate into pieces and fold it into the glaze. Spread the glaze over the pears and chill. Remove from the dish. Decorate the cake with dollops of cream, if desired.
