Pear – Grape Streussel Cake

The perfect pear – grape streussel cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 450 g Flour
  • 20 g Sugar
  • 2 Pc. Egg
  • 15 g Baking powder
  • 160 g Sugar
  • 200 g Butter
  • 1 Pr Salt
  • 350 g Blue seedless grapes
  • 450 g Pears fresh
  • 25 g Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Chocolate sprinkles
  • Grease to coat the form
  1. Set the oven to 180 degrees and let it warm up, line the 26cm baking pan with baking paper & grease the edges well.
  2. Wash the pears & blue grapes. Peel the pears & cut into cubes, halve the grapes, place in a bowl and mix with the sugar (50g). cover and let steep.
  3. Put the flour, baking powder, sugar (160gr), softened butter in a mixing bowl and mix with the mixer to a crumbly dough. Pour two thirds of the dough into the prepared baking pan, distribute it and press it down so that an approx. 2-3 cm high edge is formed.
  4. Refine the pear and grape mix with crispy chocolate sprinkles or flakes, stir gently & distribute everything on the cake base. Spread the last third of the batter as a sprinkle on the fruit & put it in the preheated oven.
  5. The baking time varies between 50-60 minutes, again depending on the oven, not everyone is the same.
  6. After baking, sprinkle the cake with some powdered sugar & let the cake cool in the pan. The powdered sugar can but does not have to be. Serving whipped cream with it is a delicious alternative!
