Pear pudding with cinnamon

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g pear(s) from the can, sliced
  • 5 g butter
  • 12 slices of toast
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 ml cream
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 orange(s), zest
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Drain the pears in a sieve. Grease four large soufflé dishes well with butter. Cut circles from baking paper and place them in the bottom of the dishes. Cut 12 circles (the diameter of your soufflé dishes) from the slices of toast. Dust a non-stick pan with powdered sugar and toast the toast circles in it. Whisk the eggs with the cream, sugar, and orange zest. Layer the bread and pear slices in the dishes. Pour over the egg cream. Bake the pear pudding in a hot water bath in the oven for about 30 minutes. Once cooled, turn it out of the dish and serve with the remaining pears and cinnamon. 332 kcal per serving.
