Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small can of peas and carrots
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • Condensed milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Grandma’s way

Open the can, being careful not to discard the liquid. Make a roux. Melt the margarine in a saucepan. Once it’s melted, add the flour and beat vigorously with a fork until foamy. Add the contents of the can and 2 splashes of canned milk and whisk. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and sugar.
