Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 25 minutes
Makes about 80 pieces.
Using a dough hook, combine the flour, egg yolk, 75g sugar, and 150g butter into a dough. Roll out onto a greased and floured baking sheet. You can also line the baking sheet with baking paper to save you cleaning afterwards. Chill for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Combine 4 tablespoons of water, honey, 100g sugar, 100g butter, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Fold in the nuts and let everything cool. Prick the dough on the baking sheet several times and spread with the nut mixture. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Cut about 80 triangles from the baking sheet. It’s best to do this shortly after baking so they won’t break as easily. Let cool. Melt the white chocolate coating in a water bath and coat the corners with it, if desired. Place on a baking sheet to dry.
