Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg meat, preferably poultry with skin, which will then be nice and crispy
  • 2 kg vegetables (e.g. carrots, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, etc.)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 jar white wine
  • 3 dashes olive oil
  • n. B. Salt
  • n. B. Pfeffer
  • e.g. rosemary

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes

Meat and vegetable mix in a roasting pan, recipe from Croatia

First, place the meat (you can use different meats at the same time) in the roasting pan. Roughly chop the vegetables (3-4 cm long pieces) and then scatter them over the meat. Chop the onions and garlic a little and add them. Pour the wine into a glass, add the olive oil, salt, and pepper, stir, and pour over the meat and vegetable mix. Sprinkle with a few sprigs of rosemary or dried rosemary. Cover and cook on the highest setting your oven will allow for 45 minutes. Then remove the roasting pan and place the meat on top of the vegetables. Cover and return to the oven for another 45 minutes. If you use leaner meat, don’t leave it on top for too long to prevent it from becoming too dry.
