Penne Alla Vodka (penne with Vodka Tomato Sauce)

The perfect penne alla vodka (penne with vodka tomato sauce) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Tomato sauce without pieces
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 bunch Peterili
  • 100 g Parma ham
  • 30 ml Vodka
  • 100 ml Cream
  • 500 g Penne
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Grated Parmesan
  1. Cook the penne in plenty of salted water until al dente.
  2. In the meantime, peel and dice the onions. Wash the parsley, shake dry and finely chop without stalks. Cut the ham into strips.
  3. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the onions in it. Add the ham strips and sauté briefly. Deglaze with the vodka.
  4. Add the cream and tomatoes, season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Finally stir in the parsley.
  5. Drain the penne, drain briefly and serve mixed with the sauce. Serve the extra Parmesan.
