Penne with tomato chicken sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250g penne
  • 500 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 400 g tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 cups of cream, possibly replace some with milk
  • ketchup
  • salt and pepper
  • n. B. spice(s)
  • Thyme
  • chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cook the penne according to the instructions. Cut the chicken breast into small pieces and fry in a little oil, adding the finely chopped onion and garlic. Once the chicken is just right browned, add the chopped tomatoes. I personally like the tomatoes almost cooked through. Then deglaze everything with cream and season with herbs, spices, and ketchup. This dish was born out of necessity, and we really like it. We’ve also tried it as a casserole topped with cheese, and that tastes great, too.
