Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 600 g minced beef
- e.g. sauce (piccalilli)
- 12 slices of cheese (wild garlic cheese or similar)
- 2 tomatoes
- 8 rolls (hamburger buns)
- 1 onion(s)
- salt and pepper
- e.g. ketchup
- some fat for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Finely chop the onion and mix with the ground beef, salt, and pepper. Then form the ground beef mixture in a burger press. If you don’t have a press, you can also use two small plates. Form the ground beef into a ball, place it in the center of a plate, and use the second plate to press the ground beef into appropriately sized slices. Keep in mind that the meat will shrink further in the pan. Place the pressed pieces in a well-heated pan and fry until crispy on the first side. In the meantime, thinly slice the tomatoes and set aside the cheese. As soon as the meat is turned, add the cheese and fry the halved burger buns in a second pan with a little fat. Spread the piccalilli on the bottom of the buns. Add some ketchup and the tomatoes to the top. If you want a lot of cheese, you can add another slice here. As soon as the ground beef is ready, place it on the bottom and close it with the top.
