hearty stew with bacon, potatoes and beans
Cut the bacon into strips and fry briefly in a pan. Dice the onion and add it. Peel the potatoes, cut them into small cubes, and add them to the pan. Peel the carrots and cut them into slices or strips. Set aside the beans (I use frozen green beans). Add about 2 teaspoons of homemade vegetable paste and sauté briefly. Pour in water (if you don’t have vegetable paste, add about 1 teaspoon of vegetable stock powder at this time). Add pepper and add the carrots and beans to the pan. Cover and simmer until the vegetables are tender. Adjust seasoning to taste.
