Pickling onions: instructions

How to pickle onions:

  • Peel the onions and cut them into either cubes or rings. Tip: Do not cut pieces that are too small, so the snack can later be easily removed from the glass with a fork.
  • Bring the water and vinegar to a boil in a large saucepan and add the onions and spices. Then let the mixture boil for about 5 minutes.
  • Now scoop the onion into the preserving jars and fill the respective jar to the brim with the mixture. You can still separate connected parts with a fork. Seal the jars airtight.
  • Allow the jars to cool and then keep them cold in the refrigerator for two to three days. After that, the pickled onions are ready to enjoy!
