Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g garlic, fresh
  • 3 small peppers, hot
  • 200 ml red wine
  • 200 ml water
  • 200 ml vinegar (red wine vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 carnations
  • 1 sprig(s) of thyme
  • 15 grains of pepper, white
  • 100 ml oil (olive oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 30 minutes

Wash the fresh garlic cloves and place them in a pot or jar with the chili peppers. Boil red wine with water and vinegar and season with all the ingredients, except the oil. Pour hot water over the garlic cloves. Let stand for 24 hours. The next day, boil everything for 10 minutes, pour hot water into the pot or jar, and let cool. Then, for better preservation, pour a layer of oil over the garlic. Seal as per canning instructions and let stand in a cool place for at least 4 weeks.
