Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g Limburger, red
- 1 onion(s), red, cut into rings
- 200 ml water
- 3 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp vinegar
- a little pepper, black (to taste)
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes
Pour water (approx. 200 ml) into a bowl, add oil and vinegar, and season with pepper to taste. Cut the Limburger cheese in half lengthwise, then cut into pieces and place in the bowl. Add the sliced onions, mix well, and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Depending on your taste, you can then add more vinegar or oil. I recommend serving with farmhouse bread or dark caraway sticks. You can also enjoy the cheese with white bread or baguette, depending on your taste.
