Pickled Salmon with Honey and Mustard Sauce

The perfect pickled salmon with honey and mustard sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients for salmon 4 people

  • 1 piece Salmon fillet with skin about 500g to 600g
  • 30 g Salt
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 2 bunch Dill
  • 0,5 tbsp Black peppercorns
  • 1 Bio Orange

Ingredients honey mustard sauce

  • 1 tbsp Mustard sweet
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Mustard medium hot
  • 0,5 bunch Dill
  1. Remove bones from laughing if necessary, place skin side down in a bowl. Crush the peppercorns in a mortar, peel the skin of the orange and cut into fine strips. Rinse, dry and roughly chop dill. Mix sugar and salt. Sprinkle the fillet side with the salt and sugar mixture, then sprinkle the pepper and orange on top. Finally, place the dill on the fillet as thick as a finger. Place a piece of cling film on the salmon and weigh it down well (cans or sand). Put the salmon in the fridge and pickle for at least 48 hours.
  2. Before serving, remove the foil and spices and scrape off a little with a knife, cut into thin slices.
  3. Mix the honey with the two types of mustard. Chop the dill very finely and add to the ingredients to taste, refine with a little orange juice if necessary.
