Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Puff pastry filled with feta cheese
Roll out the puff pastry. Crumble the feta cheese with a fork and mix with the sour cream until a smooth mixture forms. Peel the garlic and chop it as finely as possible along with the chili pepper. Add both to the feta cheese mixture and stir. Season with salt and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly on the right and left sides of the puff pastry, leaving only a clear line in the middle. Then roll the puff pastry up from both sides towards the center. Place the dough in the freezer for about 40 minutes to firm up and make it easier to cut into thin strips. Finally, place the pig’s ears on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) on the middle rack for about 30-40 minutes (depending on the desired browning). The pig’s ears can be enjoyed hot or cold. They go well with tzatziki. Enough for about 30 pieces and is perfect for a finger food buffet!
