Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 large Bockwurst
  • 200 g minced meat
  • 100g bacon
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • onion powder

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Bockwurst with minced meat and bacon coating

Preheat the oven to 230 degrees Celsius (450 degrees Fahrenheit). Meanwhile, place the bacon slices side by side until they are wider than the sausage is long. Spread the minced meat flat on top, covering 3/4 of the surface. Brush the meat with the BBQ sauce and season generously with pepper, salt, and onion powder. Place the sausage in the center of the minced meat and roll everything together. Bake the roll in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, until the bacon is crispy brown. Serve with potato salad.
