  • 500 g sugar
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 large pineapple
  • 2 large bananas
  • 15 g ginger
  • 1 ½ large orange(s)
  • 1 ½ thick lemon(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Bring the water and sugar to a boil. Simmer gently for about 3 minutes to create the syrup. Peel the pineapple, cut out the core with a knife, and then cut into small cubes. Peel and slice the banana. Juice the oranges and lemons. Peel the ginger and cut into small cubes. You can add more or less ginger to your liking, depending on your preference. Let the syrup cool slightly, then add the pineapple, banana, ginger, orange juice, and lemon juice. Let everything steep in a saucepan for about 15 minutes. Then puree until smooth using a hand blender or a food processor. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze, or freeze in a container, stirring frequently.
