Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g beet syrup
- 2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 2 tsp ginger powder
- 2 tsp clove powder
- 1 tbsp orange peel, grated, or equivalent amount orange peel flavoring
- 300 g margarine
- 300 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 kg flour
- 3 tsp baking soda

Bring the sugar beet syrup to a boil with the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and grated orange peel. Stir in the margarine and let the mixture cool slightly. Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl until frothy. Mix some of the flour with the baking soda and add the syrup mixture. Stir into the frothy mixture, then fold in the remaining flour. Wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate overnight. The next day, roll out the dough thinly, cut out cookies as desired, and place them on a prepared baking sheet. Bake each baking sheet in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10 minutes.
