Pizza arugula with garlic oil

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 7 g yeast
  • 300 ml water, lukewarm
  • 10 g salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ can tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • ½ can tomato paste
  • some ketchup
  • some oregano
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 2 balls of mozzarella
  • 150 g arugula
  • 150 g cherry tomatoes
  • 100 g Parmesan
  • 100 g Parma ham

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Dough: Place the flour, lukewarm water, yeast, olive oil, and salt in a bowl and knead thoroughly for at least 5 minutes. Let the dough rise for about 30 minutes. Tomato sauce: Peel and chop the garlic and onion. Puree with a hand blender along with the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, and a little ketchup, oregano, salt, and pepper, then simmer briefly in a saucepan. Roll out the dough thinly on a baking sheet and spread with the tomato sauce. Bake for about 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 200°C (top and bottom heat). Then spread the sliced ​​mozzarella over the pizza and bake for another 10 minutes. Just before the pizza is ready, spread the ham, arugula, quartered cherry tomatoes, and coarsely grated Parmesan cheese over the pizza. If necessary, reheat the topped pizza briefly in the oven. As a highlight, make a sauce from finely chopped garlic cloves, olive oil, salt and oregano in a mortar and drizzle it over the pizza!
