Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 40 g yeast
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 g cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 5 tbsp mixed herbs, chopped
  • 150 g diced ham
  • 1 spring onion(s), chopped
  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • ½ red pepper(s), chopped
  • ½ bell pepper(s), green, chopped
  • ½ bell pepper(s), yellow, chopped
  • 150 g mountain cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Prepare the yeast dough as usual and let it rise. Then roll it out into a square. Mix the cream cheese (or dry quark) with the cream and herbs and spread it evenly over the dough. Distribute the onion, leek, bell pepper, diced ham, and cheese evenly over the dough. (I usually sauté the leek and onion a little beforehand.) Then roll the dough into a tight roll and cut into slices about 1 1/2 cm wide. Place on a baking sheet lined with foil and spread with a little more cream. Let it rise for another 10 minutes, then bake for about 30 minutes at 170 degrees.
