Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 small jar of anchovy fillet(s)
  • 800 ml chopped tomatoes
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 tbsp thyme, shredded
  • 1 tsp, heaped cumin
  • 1 tsp, leveled sambal oelek

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Basic recipe for immediate use, freezing or preserving, enough for several pizzas

Peel the onion and garlic clove, then chop. Sauté in hot olive oil until translucent. Add the anchovy fillets. When the anchovies are cooked and dissolved, add the tomatoes and bring to a boil. Season to taste, mix well, and let simmer for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. This is far too much sauce for one pizza if you want to use it right away. I like to divide it into small portions, freeze it, and thaw it as needed. Boiling also works very well, but I rarely do that because of the small amount.
