Pizza – Schnitzel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels or turkey or chicken schnitzels
  • salt and pepper
  • Flour
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp mixed Italian herbs
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • 1 ball of mozzarella
  • oregano
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Season the schnitzels with salt and pepper on both sides. Mix the flour and oregano and coat the schnitzels in it. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the schnitzels on both sides. Mix together the tomato paste, oil, water, and Italian herbs. Peel the onion and garlic. Finely chop them along with the chili pepper and add them to the tomato paste mixture. Rub the schnitzels with the tomato paste mixture on both sides and place them in a baking dish. Slice the mozzarella (this works well with an egg slicer) and place them on top of the schnitzels. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
