Pizza tongues

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 220 ml water, lukewarm (maybe a little more)
  • 1 cube of yeast, fresh
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 package of tomatoes, pureed
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 200 g grated cheese (e.g. Gouda)
  • 3 tbsp pizza seasoning
  • 1 garlic clove(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

nice, light, high dough

Put the flour in a bowl, crumble in the yeast, and add the oil, sugar, and salt. Pour in the water and knead with a hand mixer on high for a good 5 minutes. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes. After the dough has risen, knead it again by hand and divide it into 4 pieces. Roll out each piece into a “tongue” and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tomato puree and season with pizza seasoning. Crush the garlic and spread it on the tongues. Dice the bell peppers and ham and sprinkle them on top. Finally, sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 200°C for 15-20 minutes. Of course, you can vary the toppings, e.g., use tuna instead of ham and onions instead of bell peppers, etc.
