Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g fish fillet(s) (plaice)
  • 100 g ham, cooked
  • 100 g cheese (Emmental), sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 egg(s), beaten
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 lemon(s), untreated, cut into wedges
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

The classic also tastes good with fish!

Rinse the fish fillets and pat dry. Cut the ham and cheese into slices the size of the fish fillets. Top half of the fillets with the ham and cheese, fold the other half over the fish fillets, and secure with toothpicks. Season with salt and pepper. Coat the fillets all over, first in flour, then in beaten egg, and finally in breadcrumbs. Heat oil in a pan and fry the fillets over medium heat for about three minutes on each side. Drain on kitchen paper. Arrange on plates and serve garnished with lemon slices and parsley. Serve with a light potato salad or parsley potatoes with a green salad.
