Plaice Fillet

The perfect plaice fillet recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Plaice fillets
  • 1 Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoon Flour
  • 1 Eggs
  • Oil
  • 2 Shallots
  • 200 ml White wine
  • 150 g Sour cream
  • 2 Egg yolk
  1. Wash the plaice fillets, pat dry with salt and pepper and drizzle with lemon juice.
  2. Put some flour on one plate and whisk the egg on another plate.
  3. Now roll the fillets in the flour, knock them off and then in the egg.
  4. Heat a pan with oil and fry the fillets on both sides, remove and keep warm.
  5. Peel the shallots, chop them up and put them in the fish pan with a little oil, deglaze with the white wine and simmer a little.
  6. Now stir the sour cream until creamy, season with salt and pepper and add to the fish stock, simmer for 7 minutes while stirring constantly.
  7. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the egg yolks.
