Plum Amaretto jam with almond flakes

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2,000 g plums
  • 1,000 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • n. B. Amaretto
  • 250 g almond flakes
  • ½ bottle of bitter almond flavor
  • lemon juice

Instructions

Quick to make and heavenly delicious!

Wash and pit 2 kg of plums, then puree them thoroughly in a food processor. Bring to a boil in a large saucepan with 1 kg of gelling sugar (2:1 ratio). Add 1/2 bottle of bitter almond flavoring, 250 g of almond flakes (or finely chopped almond flakes), and Amaretto, if desired. A generous splash of Amaretto can be added to bring out the full flavor. Finish with a few generous squeezes of lemon juice. Bring the mixture to a boil again briefly, pour into hot, rinsed jars, secure the twist-off lids, and let cool upside down. This batch makes enough for 7 jars of 435 ml each. Enjoy on warm, buttered toast.
