Altbier punch Münster style

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g fruit, fresh or frozen (strawberries, raspberries or blackberries)
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 liters of beer (Altbier)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Prepare the fruit and place it in a suitable container. Boil the sugar and water until the sugar has dissolved, let it cool, and pour it over the fruit. Just before serving, pour in the well-chilled Altbier. Instead of the homemade syrup, you can also use a good shot of store-bought and appropriately diluted raspberry syrup. Note: If the punch seems too “harmless” in this mixture, you can enhance the Altbier punch with a shot of Korn or another flavorless “clear” liquor. However, please do not add more than 6 cl to these quantities.
