sweet and autumnal

Stone and quarter the plums. Peel and core the apples and pears, then cut them into small pieces. Add the lemon juice and preserving sugar. Blend everything in a blender or with a hand blender until you reach the desired consistency, depending on whether you prefer it chunky or without chunks. Bring the prepared ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan with a pinch of cinnamon and simmer for about five minutes, stirring constantly. Then immediately fill the jam into jars, seal the jars, and let them cool upside down. The amount of fruit can be varied; the main thing is to use plums, apples, and pears in roughly the same ratio. The preserving sugar must be adjusted accordingly. The jam will be quite sweet. Those who prefer it less sweet should simply use a little less sugar or a 2:1 preserving sugar.
