Plum Cake from Tray

The perfect plum cake from tray recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Yeast dough for 1 baking sheet

  • 700 gr Flour
  • 100 gr Sugar
  • 100 gr Margarine, vegetable
  • 200 ml Soy milk liquid
  • 200 ml Water
  • 1,5 packet Dry yeast
  • 1 pinch Salt

Covering

  • 2 kg Fresh plums

Yeast dough

  1. Mix the flour with the dry yeast, salt and sugar in a large bowl. Melt the margarine in a saucepan and briefly stir the melted margarine with the flour mixture. Gently heat the milk and water together in a saucepan. Using the dough hook from the mixer, add the warm milk-water mixture to the pre-dough and briefly stir everything together with the hand mixer (dough hook). Then knead the dough with your hands until the mixture is a smooth dough.
  1. Cover the bowl with a towel and let rise for 1 hour.

Covering

  1. In the meantime, wash the plums, cut them halfway so that the core can be removed but the plums are still connected to one side. Slightly cut each side with a knife and set aside.
  1. After the yeast dough has left to rest for 1 hour, knead again. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll out the dough evenly on the baking sheet. Cover the dough with the plums (do not lay on top, but press diagonally into the dough). Place the baking sheet on the middle rack in the oven and bake at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes. If the cake is still lukewarm, cover with sugar and cinnamon.
