Plum crumble

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 jar plum(s) , (825 ml)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 85 g flour
  • 75 g oat flakes
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 70 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Drain the plums, reserving the juice and mixing it with the cornstarch. Bring the juice to a boil, simmer for 1 minute, stirring well. Add the plums and transfer everything to a shallow baking dish. Make a crumble from the other ingredients and sprinkle it over the plums. Bake at 200°C for about 20 minutes. Serve warm or cold with vanilla sauce or vanilla ice cream. This is actually a dessert, but I have three sweet tooths who also like to eat it as a main course, so I double the amount of ingredients. You can also make this dish with frozen plums or damsons; then boil them with water and add the cornstarch mixed with cold water.
