Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

great for guests – easy to prepare

Halve or quarter the plums, depending on their size, and place them in four ovenproof dishes. Then, in a bowl, combine the flour and sugar with a pinch of salt. Add the butter in small pieces and crumble it between your hands until it forms crumbles. Roughly chop the chocolate and mix it into the crumbles. For a Christmassy twist, add a little cinnamon or gingerbread spice. Spread the mixture over the plums and bake on the lowest rack of a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for about 25 minutes. This recipe works with almost any fruit (apricots, apples, pears, rhubarb… canned fruit will do in a pinch). Serve with a scoop of ice cream or a fruity sorbet—but it’s also delicious on its own!
