Make a simple syrup from sugar and water. Bring both ingredients to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. When the liquid is clear, remove from heat and let cool slightly. Pour the still-warm syrup into a clean two-liter jar with a tight-fitting lid. Wash the plums, halve them, and remove the stones. Add the plum halves to the syrup along with the white wine, cinnamon, vanilla sugar, and vodka. Seal the jar and let stand in a cool, dark place for one month. Strain or filter the liquid into the final container. Yields approximately 1.5 liters.
