Plum liqueur – homemade from the Thermomix

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg plum(s), washed and pitted
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 30 g vanilla sugar
  • 500 ml grain alcohol or vodka, at least 38% alcohol.
  • Cinnamon powder or orange peel, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the plums in the Thermomix and blend for 20 seconds on speed 10. Add the sugar and vanilla sugar and blend for 10 seconds on speed 10. If desired, add the cinnamon powder and orange peel. Simmer everything for 5 minutes at 100°C on speed 3. Then cool for 5 minutes at 70°C on speed 3. Pour the Korn into the mixing bowl 2 minutes before the end of the boil. Strain the plum liqueur through a sieve and pour into a hot, rinsed bottle, then refrigerate. Makes approximately 1 liter.
