Plum puff pastry pastries

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 roll of (to taste) dough from the refrigerator shelf
  • ½ cup sour cream, approx. 125 ml
  • 1 large egg(s)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 9 plums or more

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Remove the puff pastry from the refrigerator 10 minutes before use. Preheat the stove or mini oven/pizza oven to 220 degrees Celsius (200°C fan/convection oven). Unroll the puff pastry with baking paper and place on a baking sheet or in a suitable casserole dish. Cut the puff pastry into 6 equal-sized rectangles, using one lengthwise and two crosswise cuts. Whisk the sour cream, egg, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Wash, dry, halve, and pit the plums. Depending on their ripeness, place the plums with the open side facing up, either directly on the puff pastry corners, or pre-cook them on a plate, lightly sugared, for about 1 minute in the microwave. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the sour cream and egg mixture onto each plum and immediately press the four corners together at the top center. Finish all 6 pastries and brush with the remaining egg mixture, adding a little canned milk if necessary. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes on the middle rack (maybe less time if using fan-assisted oven; refer to the instructions on the dough package if necessary). Unfortunately, these delicious pastries have never made it to coffee time for us…
