Plum – Raspberry – Jam
The perfect plum – raspberry – jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 kg Plums
- 0,5 kg Raspberries
- 500 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
- 1 Pc. Cinnamon stick
- Cloves
- 2 tbsp Cane sugar, depending on your taste
- 0,5 tsp Citric acid or juice 1 lemon
- Wash the plums, stone them and cut into pieces (quarters are sufficient). Carefully rinse the raspberries and strain them with the liquor Lotte.
- Do not throw away the seeds but use them as a base for a raspberry syrup. see here raspberry syrup
- Mix the plums and raspberry purée, sugar and spices in a saucepan and let it steep for a few hours.
- Remove the cinnamon stick. Let the fruit mixture simmer gently for about 5 minutes and, depending on your taste, puree briefly with the hand blender or potato masher. Then boil for another 5 minutes, make a gelling test.
- When the desired consistency is reached, pour it into the previously prepared jars while still hot, close and turn it upside down for 5 minutes.
- This jam is wonderfully fruity !! Enjoy your meal!
- Tip 7: Also very suitable as a dessert sauce with vanilla pudding or ice cream. To do this, heat and serve hot with pudding or ice cream.
