Plum – Raspberry – Jam

The perfect plum – raspberry – jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Plums
  • 0,5 kg Raspberries
  • 500 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
  • 1 Pc. Cinnamon stick
  • Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Cane sugar, depending on your taste
  • 0,5 tsp Citric acid or juice 1 lemon
  1. Wash the plums, stone them and cut into pieces (quarters are sufficient). Carefully rinse the raspberries and strain them with the liquor Lotte.
  2. Do not throw away the seeds but use them as a base for a raspberry syrup. see here raspberry syrup
  3. Mix the plums and raspberry purée, sugar and spices in a saucepan and let it steep for a few hours.
  4. Remove the cinnamon stick. Let the fruit mixture simmer gently for about 5 minutes and, depending on your taste, puree briefly with the hand blender or potato masher. Then boil for another 5 minutes, make a gelling test.
  5. When the desired consistency is reached, pour it into the previously prepared jars while still hot, close and turn it upside down for 5 minutes.
  6. This jam is wonderfully fruity !! Enjoy your meal!
  7. Tip 7: Also very suitable as a dessert sauce with vanilla pudding or ice cream. To do this, heat and serve hot with pudding or ice cream.
