Plums Compote

The perfect plums compote recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Plums
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 200 ml Red wine
  1. Wash the plums, cut in half and core.
  2. Put the plum halves together with the other ingredients in a saucepan, heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick.

Possibility Number 1:

  1. Fill into storage jars that have been rinsed with hot water, close tightly and let cool upside down.

Option 2:

  1. Let the plum compote (a little) cool and serve with vanilla pudding, semolina pudding, waffles, with vanilla sauce or – or – or …
