Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g wholemeal flour, organic
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 4 m.-sized eggs
  • 2 packs of orange peel flavor
  • 250 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 1 can peach(s), halves, approx. 800 ml

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Plüschprumme (plush plums) is what peaches are called in Cologne dialect. A cake made with tart peaches and whole-wheat flour.

Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs. Add the flour, milk, orange zest flavoring, and baking powder. Continue beating until all ingredients are well blended and a creamy batter forms. Pour the batter into a springform pan lined with baking paper and top with the drained peach halves. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (convection oven) for 50 minutes. Allow the cake to cool slightly in the pan and carefully remove it from the pan.
