Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes
A simple side dish of pointed cabbage, butter, and sweet mustard or white sausage mustard. Goes with almost anything!
Wash the cabbage and remove the first 3-4 leaves from the outside. Halve or quarter the cabbage lengthwise and cut out the stalk. Leave any thick leaves that are not part of the stalk on. Divide the cabbage lengthwise into eighths and cut two eighths at a time into strips from thick to thin. Melt a good portion of butter in a pan over medium heat, then add the cabbage strips and season with salt. Fry in the butter for 6 minutes over low to medium heat, stirring and turning occasionally, adding more butter if necessary. After 6 minutes, increase the heat to maximum and let it brown lightly for 1.5 minutes, turning constantly. Remove the pan from the heat, add the white sausage mustard and season with coarse salt and pepper. Mix well again and remove from the pan.
