Poppy seed kleßla (Silesian Christmas dish)
Boil the poppy seeds in 1/2 liter of milk with 100g of sugar, then add the raisins. Cover with a tea towel and let it swell for 15 minutes. Then add the almonds. Cut the rolls or bread into 4cm-thick slices. Mix the remaining milk well with the sugar. Soak the bread in it. Now alternate the bread slices with the swollen poppy seeds in a glass bowl. Finally, sprinkle on the almond flakes. Chill thoroughly in the refrigerator. Serve with a glass of mulled wine.
