Bread casserole with cherries

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 ml milk
  • g flour (better: by eye!)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 jar cherry(s) (large jar)
  • 4 tbsp sugar (to taste)
  • sauce
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • Rolls, stale

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut old rolls into small pieces, place in a mixing bowl and soak in milk (by eye). Then stir in the eggs. Stir sugar into the mixture to taste. Add the flour. PLEASE NOTE: This is an estimate, as I almost only cook by eye. Only add enough flour to create a thick mixture. If you have breadcrumbs to hand, you can also thicken the batter a little with them. Finally, fold in the cherries. Then pour into a baking dish and bake at 170-180 degrees Celsius (convection oven) for 30-40 minutes. For the sauce: Make the pudding according to the package instructions, but use double the amount of milk (I think it’s better than sauce powder). Despite my amateurish description, I hope you enjoy it!
