Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g poppy seeds
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • some cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp cane sugar (raw cane sugar)
  • 500 ml whipped cream
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 150 g icing sugar
  • 750 ml schnapps (grain)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

In a saucepan, bring the poppy seeds to a boil with whipped cream, cane sugar, vanilla sugar, and cocoa powder to taste, stirring constantly. Then let cool. Beat the egg yolks and powdered sugar until frothy. Gradually add the poppy seed mixture and the corn syrup while stirring continuously, creating a creamy liqueur. Pour the poppy seed liqueur into two prepared bottles, seal tightly, and refrigerate. Shake the liqueur well before enjoying to ensure the poppy seeds are evenly distributed. Makes approximately 2 0.75-liter bottles.
