Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 225 g coffee powder, finely ground
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 500 g sugar
  • ¾ liter rum (54%)

Brew the coffee powder and vanilla pod with the water in a saucepan. Immediately add the sugar to the hot liquid and stir to dissolve. Let it steep for 5 minutes and then pour through a coffee filter into a large bottle. Now add the rum. It can be consumed immediately. Variation: For a mocha cream liqueur, reduce the water by 1/4 liter and add 1/4 liter of cream to the bottle at the very end.
