Pork chops with mushroom and herb topping

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork chops
  • Oil, for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • Mustard
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste, or ketchup
  • Mixed herbs
  • 3 tbsp cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Brown the cutlets in oil on both sides, remove from the oven, then season with salt and pepper and spread with mustard. Place in a fireproof dish (or casserole dish). Finely chop the onion. Finely chop the mushrooms. Sauté both in the frying fat, add the tomato paste, and fry briefly. Season with salt and pepper, mix in the chopped herbs, and stir in 1 tablespoon of the grated cheese. Spread the mushroom mixture over the meat pieces, sprinkle with the remaining cheese, and bake in the oven at 220°C for about 10 minutes. Boil the remaining meat with a little water or broth and serve as the juices. Serve with boiled or parsley-flavored potatoes.
